Springdale, AR– George Russell, a technician for MHC Kenworth, won Grand Champion in the Arkansas Technician Championship competition held June 21 at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale, AR This was Russell’s first time to compete in the state competition. Russell demonstrated heavy duty technical skills in 10 challenging categories as well as a written exam. He will represent Arkansas in the 2008 National Technician Skills Competition in Nashville, TN in September, competing in a series of 10 Skills Challenge Stations.

George has worked for MHC Kenworth for 10 years. He and his wife reside in Huntsville and have 3 children: Mitch, Aleksander and Victoria.

The Arkansas Trucking Association (ATA) is a statewide business league comprised of approximately 300 trucking companies and service companies to serve as the political and public relations arm of the trucking industry. The ATA has continuously served the Arkansas trucking industry in this capacity since its incorporation in 1932.
